Since I moved I've been looking for art work for our walls and found this great artwork by Stuart Thomas in the New Dowse - unfortunately it wasn't available!
I'm building a up a fair little collection of stuff for my craft room. I couldn't leave this picture frame in the shop and I'm hoping it won't clash (too badly anyway) with whatever green I end up with on the walls. As is ridiculously obvious from the 'picture' part of the frame I bought it in Next on my recent visit to Europe. The colour is even more vibrant and shiny in person. Next is one of the few shops I miss (mainly for jeans). I also miss M&S ... Badly... More than I would care to admit. Underwear especially. Though at this stage there are shops I like in New Zealand and would miss hugely in Ireland. Ireland really doesn't have the same focus on crafts and it was WAY too hard to buy wool when I was there. Just as well I get to visit I suppose!
I've decided to update my look at least in blog terms. Crafty mermaid just doesn't feel 'me' any more. I've set up a new blog and look forward to seeing you there! https://sewmancer.blogspot.com/
Seriously cute stickers from monsoon. I snapped them up in the airport in Amsterdam on the way to Egypt. Supposedly 'pure' essential oil. I realised after I bought them in Egypt that they were heavily watered down with oil (should that be oiled down). Rather annoying as our tour guide brought us there and then the guy in the perfume factory lied barefacedly to us. :( Paid what I thought was a fair price too (cheaper than at home but not seriously cheap). Local wildlife on the River Suir in Clonmel. I'm back in New Zealand four months now and in that time, we've bought a house, sold a house and moved. We're in the new house about three weeks now and settling in nicely. Work has gotten a bit manic but thankfully I'm a lot closer! I love, love, love the house and really enjoy spending time here. There's still a drier in the middle of the kitchen floor (until we get a venting kit and can mount it) but the rest of the house is looking suprisingl
