work in progress and a treasure trove

I'm working on this Christmas cross stitch at the moment. Its a bit odd for May but it feels like the lead up to Christmas so I'm working to the weather! This Southern Hemisphere thing is a tad odd at times. On the up side however are the wonderful 'care' parcels from family! :) My mother sent me some trinkets in the post and even better some Jelly tots! They didn't last long.

Birthday Bags

I finished a tote bag for a friend of mine last night. I'd already cut out the green fabric and quickly cut the ladybird fabric using the green fabric as a template. I then used some scrap fabric, buttons and thread from my stash to create the fish!

Birthday Cards!

I got into a card making frenzy on Sunday night - OK not really but I did have to make two cards for friends and even though I got out seriously large amounts of card making wonderfulness, I just added a sticker to a card! Hmmmm... Not the most involved process but I really like the outcome!

I bought these beads last year in Napier (a lovely art deco town on the East coast of NZ) on a trip and finally put them to good use and made myself a long necklace. I crimped onto waxed string from Tiger beads and quite like the results.
