Cross stitching

Image
I finished up the Christmas cross stitch stocking as far as I can without assigning it to something!  It looks better than I thought it would... I also finished up a dolphin cross stitch that I started years ago.  Glad its finished but I need to figure out what to do with it now. I also started up my Christmas ornament cross stitch - I think these are stunning.  I particularly love the Aroha ones.  I've decided to do up two of them.  One in red on white and another white on red.  I also changed the colour for the kiwi.  I love how it turned out.

Dandelion days

BM's dad gave me this print and I adore it - we've had it framed.  At the moment its hanging in our bedroom but I really need to find a place I can see it better.  I'm really happy with the colours - the inside mount is a darker cream shade.  Though taking the photograph of it - is far too hard!

card creations

A few more makes.  The card above uses rubons and an old card. The picture was from an old card.  But I like my version better! This was a card fix.  I gave this to my mother but it got ripped a little bit.  I do like how the cream on cream works. I really am working my way through my supplies.  The image is from an old calendar.   I recycled our moving in cards for last year and started making some refurbished ones. This embellishment has been on at least two other cards - but they went to family so get bounced back once they've been used! Hah!  I realised that I had pencil markings on this when I saw the pictures and had to fix it!  The strippy tape is some new washi tape I just had to buy (too cheap to say no!). I ended up changing this card - I'm so glad I a

completed cups

Woohoo!  We got our cups back ! I'm not 100% happy with how my car/caravan mug turned out - I should have add some more elements to the other side of the mug.  But generally, it was a good effort.  I love my friend's mug...  lovely and strippy - such a simple but vibrant design.

A card for a friend who got residency and some pictures for my craft room wall.

yet another scarf

Image
My blocked and crocheted scarf dried and finished up for a friend.  I love the colour but I think I made it a little too wide.  Its my go-to pattern for scarves and I find making it up very relaxing.  I've made it up at least four times (and another as a blanket ) - 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 .
