I finished a second floral bunting. I love how festive it turned out. One of my friends was working in Antarctica this summer and sent me this postcard. I love the stamp!

cross stitch bunting
I finished a very cute cross stitch recently - I love the summer colours. It'll be a nice reminder as the winter is definitely moving in. Its strange and kinda horrible to read all the blogs in the Northern Hemisphere welcome the spring. I adapted the pattern a bit as I prefer it a bit more lopsided!
Works in progress
Slowly, slowly, slowly sewing in the ends on this blanket . Started an octopus - just need to sew on the face. And working on this blanket (a much smaller affair). I ran out of wool and looked for some this weekend. Luckily, a shop in town stocks it and I'm waiting on some more of the colours to arrive in from all around the country!
Gingerbread house
A friend of mine very kindly (and out of the blue) gifted me a gingerbread house kit. Yum, yum! It came in pieces with a bit of whittling to do to even out the edges. Unfortunately at this stage I dropped one of the roof pieces... Oophs... The end result was a little messy - but a lot of fun!

A quick owl make for a new big sister. And a blanket for the new baby brother. yarn: Gray: 100% cotton, Lovely Jeans 50g, colour: 78. White: 100% cotton, the wool company ( first seen here , then here , here , here and here and still going strong!)
