Visiting a Marae (part 2)
We had wonderful food on the marae. One of our hosts added flowers and mint as well as lemon to the water jugs - beautiful colours and a hint of a great flavour. And what food choices! I had crayfish for the first time!
Oophs. On my drive back to Wellington from Taupo this December I coincided with Levana's Saturday openning and happened (perchance) to buy a lovely range of knit fabrics. The yellow and green are destined for summer tops, the black and white for sleeves on a cardi and the yellow for comfy underwear. I best follow through, eh? :)
I also recently purchased this cute first aid box from storage box in Wellington. I really shouldn't like an inanimate object this much.
I went to LA in October to be the celebrant at my brother's wedding (so fun!) but only managed to snap a very few photos. Unfortunately I wasn't feeling well for much of the trip but managed to have a lovely time hanging out with friends and family who were also in town for the wedding too. I did manage a few quick trips to Mood, the LA fabric district and Joann's. And there was a bit of crafting for the wedding too (well, just wrapping up the most generous guest boxes for out of town guests).

I got a few stickers from the Farmer's Market at the Grove, two cotton gauze fabrics (peacock feathers and cartoon animals), skeleton quilting fabric and laminated fox fabric at Michael Levine in the fabric district, knickers elastic from the trim shop I love in the fabric district (not pictured) and mint green silk from Mood (not pictured). All in all, I don't think it was a crazy haul but as I'm trying to destash - not the most reserved …
